Better Flicker Picture

We are very happy that the flicker(s) are still hanging around! Here is the better picture I promised. Greg shot this one through the window.

You can get a peek at the orange tail feather that makes these birds so showy when they fly. Also notice the black throat marking and the spots. A flicker is a good-sized woodpecker: somewhere between the size of a blue jay and a crow.

Nina, this morning a whole bevy/flock/herd of robins was playing in our empty fountain. They were so cute, and were having so much fun. I knew they'd fly away if I tried to take a picture, so I just enjoyed them.
